It’s never enough is it?!
Everything I do,
Never good enough for you!

Maybe I’m not as good as you,
Ever think of that?
Go ahead, crush me like a rat!

Why can’t you encourage me?
See what I’ve done right!
I hate you! I love you!
Why’d we have to have this fight!?

--------
Even reading this, I wonder if he'll get the point...I just had a fight with my dad about the usual subject..

OMG I have felt like saying these exact words to both my mom and dad at one point in tyme, at least one of us has the nerve to put it into words!

"A friend's shoulder makes a
nice pillow when you're crying" ~Me
"If beauty is in the eye of the beholder, I guess love is too" ~Me

The guts and the skills... seems you got it. Takes some guts to say this when you probaly are angry... I know mine would have been different. I like this it motivates me for more... /Nick/

I Hate you, I love you.
Damn those blasted feelings. Felt that anger/rage/frustration before many times... Nice vent.

Wow, a lot of power in this poem. I felt it hard. Raw emotions here.

I was born myself, raised myself, and will continue to be myself. The world will just have to adjust.

Somewhere out there a cow is laughing at you

Actually..I think this poem may be turning things around between me and Dad. He went back and looked at my website and saw the poem. We had this long talk that -didn't- turn into a yell-fest..so I guess things are going in the right direction. My life is definitely looking up.

I'm really glad that things are looking up for you... I liked this poem.  Awesome way to vent.  I hope it made you feel better.  I'm glad that our realtionship with your dad is getting better   I hope things never stop improving, as there is always room for improvment in anything.  Nicely done, I enjoyed this one, Adam
