The first few wounds
on my arm, leg, and finger
exist quietly there,
- implying nothing

As my fingers run gently
over the skin on my leg
I feel little swelled bumps
and I see red strips
of violence -
mean and unforgiving

Oh my...If this is a personal account I'm so sorry. If you need at all someone to talk to, you can email me anytime.
It is written so truthfully and the ending is really strong.
Thanks for sharing this piece.

A nice short poem. I like this one, DE. Sorry to hear of the subject though. Like AF said, if you want to talk, we're here.

I'm glad you're okay.. but I'm still sorry this happened.  The poem is well written... powerful in it's simplicity.  Nice work.
