This one is old from dark passions. I rearranged it and decided to plop it in my series of the moment.

             THE PAIN OF THE LOSS

With eyes closed, ears blistered
I feel no pain, its not that it
isnt their anymore
i just cant feel it
I call out your name in the inky sky
but all I get is the silence,
a rumbling silence
you left me alone,
my one bestfriend, decided
life wasnt what u needed anymore,
but it was  what u hated
The anger I want to scream
is stuck somewhere
between my heart and my head,
wishes dont help
dreams keep me up
walking up in a cold sweat
wondering what im still doing here,
maybe it was
your path to leave me all alone,
to let me suffer in silence
you promised me a thousand promises
but broke every one,
you arent my friend anymore
just bones
but forgive me friend,
i still love you
I cant quite hate you
because you are all I wanted
and all I had in a world filled with hate.

Regina

If you only understood my pain then maybe you could learn to be my friend. Be there. My crying shoulder. The smiles. And the caring i need to survive.

so sad...so very sad. The people we care about the most that decide to leave can't be hated. In a way they teach us to be stronger but still, you can't help but feel like this. You've opened up old wounds with this, regina. I thank you for sharing this with all of us. It is going into my library so that it can be remembered and treasured.

Wow, Regina... this is so sad.  What a hard situation... something that's horrific to go through.  I'm sorry.  This poem was so full of emotion... I'm left in awe.  I had to read this over and over, and each time it struck me a little harder than before... wow.  Such powerful words.
Beautiful work, Regi.  I am seriously at a loss for words..
