So, my life is over now?
I'm really confused about what to do...
Should I lie or should I confess?
I want to hide it (I want to tell the truth)
Underage consumption?! It's not really that big of a deal, right?
Then why do I feel like I just want to curl up and die?
I can imagine the looks of my parents faces when I tell them what I did.
Never meant to disappoint them; always tried to be a good kid.
What to do? What to do? Pray they won't find out, even though the chance is slim?
Or sit down and confess; have a long discussion with them?

*What do you think I should do?*

Interesting read, Sarah...
Underage consumption aye? WELL...You could NOT tell witht he risk of being found out about and then big trouble- or you COULD tell and have them be pissed and have to rebuild trust. this is yoru choice. Remember- your guilt will give you more of a punishment than anyone else could.

i liked the poem, Sarah ...well,...i think you should tell them...its better to tell the truth and feel free about the situation..even though the consquences aint good...its definitly better then to lie and keep it within you...stressing over it... then to get caught later..while you were lying about it..i dont know if i made sense but..im kinda tired..heheh..

im addicted to passions in poetry!...are you?

First of all, I think it's very admirable that you're even confused about what to do.  Most would have made their minds up LONG ago not to tell.  Although I say tell.  Not only will it be the right thing to do, but it will make you feel better in the long run... no guilty conscience coming after you after the fact.

you know, a great conversation or discussion is always good.  This eliminates being misunderstood.  Considering the last reply, I'm glad too that whatever the situation is, you've told your mom.  *hugs* for you

as a fairly young mom with pre teens, I always tell them to tell me the truth. I can't help them if they lie to me. I can't fix it for them, ya know? I never lie to my kids. I expect the same. It is hard, and scary to tell your parents the truth about some things, but they are finding out that I'll be really cool when they come to me. I had to call my mom once when I was a minor, to come get me(from a drinking situation). She yelled the entire way home. My Dad was really great the next day. He said he was happy I called. That made me feel so good.   I want my kids to feel like that with me, so to make it a little longer....LOL I think it's awesome you told your mom, and even better that she was cool about it  I hope you learn from it  and great job on this open and honest poem

If you felt guilty about it, it is good you told your parents, or at least your mom. you are a better person than me, cause I would have lied my ass off. But don't feel too bad about what happened. Everyone as a teen goes through this, no matter how good you are. Just consider it a learning experience. It's not that bad.Good luck
