Whenever I'm around you,
all I want to do is touch you.
I just want to hold your hand,
or poke you in your side,
so you'll poke me back.

Whenever I'm around you,
i just want to touch you,
to just hold you close,
to rest my head on your shoulder,
to just be able to forget about everything.

Whenever I'm around you,
I just want to be closer to you,
to just walk next to you,
to just sit next to you,
to always be next to you.

Whenever I'm around you,
it doesn't seem to matter who else is there,
you still hold my hand even tho we broke up,
and you still let my head rest on your sholder,
and all the time I just want to touch you.

Someone once taught me that it doesn't matter what other people think of you as long as you like yourself.  That's what I live by.

It's like when I'm around him, I'll pinch him or something, just so I can feel the softness of his skin.  He's so soft.  I just want to melt into him. UGHH! It's discouraging sometimes.

You want to melt into him? That's such an awesome thing to say, that should be in a poem!
Allysa, good job on the poem. I liked it....sweet.

This really hit home for me.  Breakups can be so hard, but don't you think that touching him, holding hands, etc. would make things worse for both of you?  Like you're not going out anymore, but still have that bond.  It's like you still have him without having him... very confusing.  Anyways, I liked this poem.  It's full of emotions.  I really enjoyed this... nicely done!

Thanks you two!

Marie, I understand what your saying and where you're coming from.  But with him, I'm gonna take WHATEVER i can get.  It's taken a while *(a lonnnnngggg while) to get out of the post dating awkwardness and into the we're-not-dating-but-it-looks-that-way-to-everyone-else-except-us kinda thing.  The holding hands, the hugging, the laying heads on shoulders kinda thing.  As long as it's him, I'm fine.  I don't care what me and him are, as long as we're something. My signature quote has to do with him (i think).
