This is my 500th post! Yeah! So, without futher ado, heres the poem...

I stand before you
only asking for one thing –
acceptance.
No matter what,
you never want to accept me.

But I can wipe away those tears
and permanently paste my fake smile on.
I can cover up the scars,
not only the visible ones
still pink against my pale wrist
but the emotional ones
that reflect in my face and eyes.
I may no longer be myself on the outside,
but it is all still there inside.

The only problem is
you can see inside of me,
while the rest of the world cannot.
But I do not care
for the rest of the worlds approval
only yours…

I turn and walk away
I cannot bring myself to stay
Or to look back into that mirror.

CONGRATS on 500!!..your a senoir member now!..and...*sighs*...this hit me...sincere emotions...i really liked the poem itself...but hope everything gets better.

wow i loved this. its going into my library. heh we both hit 5oo together and i wrote a poem kinda similar to this one yesterday. newayz! congrats on the 5oo and great job on the poem. i think its great.*hugs*

Congrats on the 500! This was a great poem. i loved it.

Great job here....Happy 500! Looks like you and Tiff did it around the same time.

Your ending was harsh and for that it was great. It's a reality for so many people and you've written about it brilliantly. Your own personal pain brings it to life.
