Throughout our lives we meet certain people
and build bonds and friendships, too.
Often time we forget to show them
how appreciated they are.
We meet new people on the journeys
we call our lives.
But never will the bond shared
between us be broken or replaced.
It's sad when someone we love
goes away, whether it be near or far.
Because a friend is a bond from
ones heart and mind to another.
But most people fail to realize
they should be grateful for
the memories they have shared.
With the shared moments etched in our minds,
instead of being upset for losing a friend
we are grateful for sharing our love.
Neither distance, nor time will ever
stand between the memories etched in my soul!

Wonderful tribute to your friend. I'm sure the person would love it to pieces.

Thanks for your replies and yeah, the feelings are good and very from the heart in this poem. Although it's not my best poem it's kinda choppy but oh well. Thanks for reading!
