Hey guys.   This is probably going to be my last post for a while...I just don't feel the pipfire anymore, I guess. And its beginning to actually be uncomfy here, but thats probably because I'm such a slacker and don't take the initiative to get to know people.   For those I haven't spoken with, I apoligize. And to those that I've kinda ignored lately, I'm sorry...this isn't goodbye, only goodnight, I spose...

Centum Anni

A hundred droplets wandering
masked by hues of golds and blues
Meshing, entwining,
and finding solace in a still
and sacred pilgrimage

Shadowing, with hungry greys,
the moon that's lit
by a hundred suns --
mothers just bearing their beginnings,
reaching with fiery limbs
to their daughters.

These children, so like gems,
magestic in birth and moreso in death --
masses of gas and purple flame,
churning within their own nuclei
until the moment that their mothers
turn their backs, and they
might cascade...

Toward my hands, chilled
with hatred for the very skies
we're forced to inhale, I'm warmed
with burning reminders
of a hundred years

Yup, you're a slacker. Get to know people, damnit!

Carly, this didn't have your ususal spark behind it. It seemed to lack something that I just can't put my finger on.
Anyway, hopefully we'll all see you around here sometime soon.

That very loss of spark is another reason I'm taking this lil break...Well thanks for your reply EJ. Peace to ya.

I'm no good at judging spark, however I do like this. But I've already told you that!!   You are a great writer, and I hope you'll come to feel that "fire" once again. *enormous hugs*

Great job on this poem.  We'll miss you and your poetry here at Piptalk.  Hopefully you'll feel the Pipfire again soon and come back.

This poem was lacking something, as EJ said.  I can't put my finger on it, but it was different.  I'm sorry to see you go.  I hope you come back soon   I'll miss you.
