THE LOSS

Do you wonder where
your heading in life?
do you care?
My losses are listed
on the high lists
My mistakes are
paraded in front
of the world
I'm suprised by
the kindness you show me
You love me with
all your heart
Saving me so many times
keeping me on the
phone  when I hurt
so much
Listening to me throw
up after my stupidty
LOving me for all that
I am
no pretense, no show
where would I would be
without you?
Life would have no shine
I couldn't hear your
southern drawl
You're a part of me
as I'm a part of you
our losses are great
they are horrible
If i could undo your
past i would
even if It would mean
that you would
never remember me
just so you could be
happy
so your sister would
still shower you with
smiles
so your Desi & Jason
could be with you
The greatest losses
are our biggest fears
fears of losing each
others love
I want to shower you
in love and smiles
to hold you when we
both get cold
This fear brings us
closer
we love, we fight,
we cry but
we never hate
Till death do us part.....

Regina

If you only understood my pain then maybe you could learn to be my friend. Be there. My crying shoulder. The smiles. And the caring i need to survive.

Wow, Regi.  This is very different from your others.  I REALLY enjoyed this.  Definitely a library piece.  These types of friends are the ones to hold most dear.. never let this person get away   Very nice work.  I really liked the beginning.  The way you opened the poem with a question got my mind reeling from the start.  nicely done.  I can't wait for another in the series.

This series seems to be a very emotion filled, raw one. I liked this one Regi, and once again hope you are ok.

I was born myself, raised myself, and will continue to be myself. The world will just have to adjust.

I admire it daily

Wow, this was a very deep poem.  Strong structured and had a nice rhythm without unnecessary rhyme. Keep writing!

Ina, I'm glad this is more uplifting than the first part
You have so much raw emotions in your poems
Keep it up and I'll be here to keep reading

The ending was interesting. It was good, but still interesting. You've got my head running around with some thoughts now.
"The greatest losses
are our biggest fears"
Aint it the truth?! I hope that everything works out for you and this guy, Regi.
