her insults are so cruel
they hit me like a slap
hard across my round pudgy
face
tears fall and dreams die

I sit and drown in pain
her words eating me inside out
she shows no mercy
no remorse or regret

she never physically hurts me
but her words, those damn words
truly give me an unbearable
mental and emotional beating

the look in her eyes
that determined and fierceful
look
is her only look of regret
regret that she ever had me

that determined look
to get rid of me
to chase away reminders
of a wasted childhood and painful
adolescent years

She regrets her whole life
but stresses how much she
regrets mine
just hammering what a mistake
I was in my head

Yet she shows interest in why
I behave the way I do
like she's really concerned about
my weird behavior
she has no clue as to why I am
the way I am
and I don't have the guts
to tell her

Wow, this is a very emotional poem. It's really good. Very powerful. I hope you can resolve things soon with this person.

Wow...I know someone who, with a little modification, would fit this poem perfectly.  Wow...Yo're not Becky by any chance are you?  But anyway, it's a very good poem, keep posting, and you don't ave to justify why you are the way you are, unless those causes aren't worthy.

Man Trina...Such a horrible situation you described. I'm sorry. No one deserves to be treated and made to feel like that. Stay strong sweetie.
You wrote an awesome poem. The emotions were so intense. I loved this. GREAT JOB!

This was a heart wrenching poem. Sounds like yer either talking about a person you know or your mother, but I got the feeling you were talking about yer mom. Anyhow, I hope things get better and just stay strong. You wrote a very sad poem. It hit me hard.

*hugs* Very emotional poem... The pain you portrayed really hit hard.  I hope this isn't someone in your family.  Words can hurt so much more than any physical pain.  I'm so sorry you have to endure this, and I hope things get better.  Very nice poem.  All the emotions really make this one shine.  Nice work. If you ever need to talk to someone, never hesitate to email me    Keep posting your work, and sharing it with us.

I am so sorry you are having to deal with this.  It is not fair for anyone to suffer this kind of emotional beating.  *hugz*  Great poem, and I look forward to more.

Yea writing seems to be the only thing at the moment I'm really good at and it makes me feel better once I've gotten my feelings out on paper. Thank you for your comments

Take care,
