This was a real quick poem I wrote the other day nothing special

I miss love
In all its glorys
The leaves fall outside my window
And around the feet of the lovers as they
Meander their way through central park
I wonder if everything for them
Is at perfect as it seems
I draw a heart in the fog
That has come to block my view
And wonder what a childish thing to do
For such a mature soul
Many a time I have held a bruised heart
And often badly mended it

But I still miss love.

Being burnt is never good but you have described your feelings very well. The lines,
"The leaves fall outside my window
And around the feet of the lovers as they
Meander their way through central park"
are very well thought out. You've done a good job with this one.

Who wouldn't miss love. It's the best feeling ever. Once you've had it...you feel empty without it. You did a great job portraying your feelings. Keep posting. I enjoyed the read.

Love is something so powerful that not having it drives many to their demise. I enjoyed this poem very much. It's written with a lot of truth. Stay strong, and be healthy. Good luck.

I was born myself, raised myself, and will continue to be myself. The world will just have to adjust.

I'm in love with my shadow
I admire it daily

I agree with all the others. I think love is powerful and wonderful when it is true. I'm sorry you're missing it. Great poem, very pretty.

This is amazing.  I reead and re-read this poem over and over.  What an excellently written piece of work!  Definitely one for the library.  I know exactly how the feelings that are portrayed hurt.  I can connect with this poem so well... I loved the lines: "I wonder if life for them/is as perfect as it seems."  WONDERFUL work.  Simply oustanding..
