I got the news today but I didn't believe what they told me,
You had so much potential you could have been anything u wanted to be.

Why did you have to do it I just don't understand why?
Was your life really bad enough to want to die.

It seems like just yesterday we were chilling with all our friends,
I can't believe all that time you wanted your life to end.

You could always make me smile even when I didn't want to,
And now that you are gone I don't know what I'm going to do.

I'm really going to miss you and the memories of you will never leave my head,
But I'll never be able to understand why you are dead.
Lauren

This is in memory of my friend Ryan who took his life on June 25th,2001! I will miss you buddy!

It's always hard to lose someone we know and specially if we do love them so much.  Unfortunately, we do have to move on though hard.  Hope things do get better for you.  ~*hugs*~

I lost a friend a year ago on July 5th. I know how hard this can be, there's no good reason you can give to explain it. This is a great tribute to your friend. It's hard but you'll make it through.

Death. Emotions come from that which are so horrible you feel as if you can't bare it anymore. Having your friend die in some sort of mishap or accident is horrible...But having your friend take his own life is absolutely terrible. The thoughts and questions and guilt that come along with that are almost unbareable. You wonder why they didn't ask for help, or talk to you about whatever was bothering them, or how you could not notice the pain the friend was feeling... It's terrible.  Lauren- The poem was absolutely great. Very emotional. I'm sorry you have to deal with this. Stay strong. Keep posting. I liked this one alot.

Losing someone you care about is never easy and hopefully in writing this piece you have been able to let go of some of the emotions that have come from his death.

Thanks for sharing this.

You said I didn't read this but I swear I coulda sworn I read this somewhere. Maybe in teen 4? Did you post it there?
Well anyway I understand all about death and losing a friend. I have lost a few myself. I hope that you get through this and only time will heal you. Get well.

I was born myself, raised myself, and will continue to be myself. The world will just have to adjust.

Wow what a wonderful tribute.  It's always hard to understand why someone you love takes their life.  Sorry you had to experience this!

I already read this in teen chat. But Ifelt I should comment on it again. This is so very upsetting when this happens, and I know there is nothing I could say to change things for you. I'm sorry.
