Between the inhale
And exhale,
Of the short breath
Of time we were together,
At that moment when
I was filled with
The essence of you,
I did not know
Letting you go
Would be at once,
Both a relief and agony.

Very nicely phrased and captured.  I like this a lot.  I enjoy being inspired by your minimalism -- a fresh contrast to my usual style.

Beautiful ......
I really enjoyed the quite surrender of this one.

Thank you Ron......

ewww...for a second I thought this would be about inhalants again. But this is very deftly written...much admiration here!

Oh, how powerfully true this can be, absolutely!!!  I think I need to send this to a friend that leads a hope for healing group for survivors of death/divorce and other major stresses on a life.  May I?

This is VERY well expressed and I know that feeling.  Good writing!

I love this one! I know that letting go can be so good yet so bad at the same time...you put it into words so beautifully
