In the Window of the Morning

In the window of the morning
the sky weeps light
and dusts the air with powdered glisten

I breathe and there is movement
as currents of my life make patterns
above the bed

I whisper the word  love
and watch a cartwheel ripple
across the room
as it whirls against the bright
frame of the door

I see amazing weight
in this dusty early gleaning
as if the day caught me and held me
in a minute
gave it to me to open some understanding

Life is fragile with responsibility
for the air around it waits for purpose
and when life is gone
the room will wither
the air will loose its grace

and even the wind that sweeps the sidewalk
cannot change that

In the dew of little things,
the heart finds its morning
and is refreshed.
(ee cummings)

"Life is fragile with responsibility
for the air around it waits for purpose..."

... a Gaia way of thinking? perhaps.

Martie, please continue to share with us your poetic view of the world.  It is most interesting and enjoyable.

life does indeed create movement that cannot be duplicated by its absence...your words and thoughts are, once again, perfect....

I love those lines, Martie.  So true and so well expressed.

Doreen picked my lines, Martie I loved this one, and I agree, let's have more of your view of the world in general.  Fantastic writing as usual.

May you always be dizzied with the thrill of love flipping cartwheels.

Lovely, my friend.
