Not to Forget

in quiet stillness
pen by side, paper left white
questions roam day’s night

still in quietness
smiling visions shining down
warmth encompassing

motionless silence
solemnity surrounds all
prayers upward fly

damp cries are for we
for you have gained all, no loss
joyful heaven sings

soon Muse exiles tears
whispers of pen up, now shine
in memory, write
