A Rope of Threads

I have woven a rope of thread
That floats a halo o’er my head.
Of twisted silk and sad sack clothe
That sometimes twists a rain of broth.

A broth that simmers in my mind
That echoes of the bad and kind
Then hangs me out upon a lie
To face the sun and try to dry

When I am dry it’s back again
To face again the where and when
I’ve used the rope to hold some sail
To sail me to the Holy Grail

And I have searched in true and vain
In places where it might have lain
But all I’ve found is mystery
The present and its history

So now I search the dreamer’s plight
Where butterflies begin their flight.

=============================

A rope woven with wisdom's golden threads of time
A tapestry of a poet's life stitched in rhyme
Dreams and dragon schemes braided with the ties that bind
Vines of vision entwine in the Eden of your mind

There in that garden ... a butterfly takes flight
No ropes ... no chains ... no nets in sight
Wings of lace granted in this poet's heart's weave
To finally fly free ... we need only to just believe

Feels like Im dancing with truth and wisdom
Precious rhythm you are my guide
These days are sacred, my heart is humble
Oh warrior show me the light

I especially enjoyed these lines:

Then hangs me out upon a lie
To face the sun and try to dry

A very expressive and creative twist.
