Why do I feel sorrow
I never met the man who died
I never knew he was a poet
I never saw him as a friend
But there are tears in my eyes
my thoughts are with his family
the man who died so far away
Why do I feel sorrow

Because I saw the pain in you
you met the man who died
you knew he was a poet
you saw him as a friend
So there are tears in my eyes
I read some of his poetry
the man who died so far away
I know my sorrow now

Titia....you have just described this community that Passions in Poetry has brought about...

someday when you have time, go back and visit Wilfred and his many gifts he gave us through his poetry....

his works start in the Archives, Open Poetry #8.

Thank you for this.

Titia, I haven't met a poet yet who didn't have a heart for others, their words, and feelings....thank you for understanding how much  Bill meant to all of us.

Exactly Titia...I don't know Bill personally or I have never met him face to face but I know him through the poetry he wrote...and when I read his poetry I feel like I do know him personally...he was a man with a loving heart that has reached out and touched many...James

Sunshine, nakdthoughts, JamesMichael, that's what makes Passions great. Allthough we will never meet (at least most of us) I still get a feeling of growing into a large family of dear friends.
I visited other communities for a while, but none of them were so close to me as you all are. And as you take up all my webtime I quit the others (smile)

I sure plan to read more of William, only I feel sad I won't be able anymore to tell him what a beautiful poet he is, because reading the one or two reposts they reached my heart strongly and that's why I knew he must have been a great friend to you all.
Let's keep his spirit alive through our compassion with each other, as he did so well.

Although we did not meet face to face
Bill and I and many others met
heart to heart and soul to soul
Hope
I still feel him deeply

Janet Marie, thank you so much for your kind words. My website? It's just a beginning and a place to put the pictures in so I can use them with my poems.

HopeS, you're not alone in those feelings dear, thanks for reading.

This is a great way to put your feelings down Titia.....As a poet you understand and that's where the sorrow comes from.......he is missed very much!
