I did not know him ~
and so he introduced himself
and let me see the wonders of his world.
From seagulls whirling high about the heavens
into the deepest reaches of his heart
Each story painted by his words
~ a masterpiece ~
The anticipation, the excitement,
to turn the page and see a new poem by his name
and then, to read and savor each word.
A smile, a tear, heartaches and joy
he shared his life with all who entered.
Always gracious, ever kind in thought and word.
What greater blessing than to say
"I have read his poetry, and he read mine."

I did not know him ... and yet, I did.
My thoughts are with his family and friends.
He will be greatly missed.

Joanna

a lovely tribute to a kind friend and fellow poet, mentor to many.

Feels like Im dancing with truth and wisdom
Precious rhythm you are my guide

Thank you.  He was such a dear man and his words were fun, feeling, caring, understanding and so much more.  I too will miss his postings, but will go often to the library.  ME
