"Inprisoned Chains"

You've created this life of yours
A life that is now a living hell
Imprisoned by your own chains
It's up to you to free yourself from this "cell"

It was you who pushed me away
With your lies and endless game
You now ask me for a second chance
My answer is no...You have only yourself to blame

The hurt you've caused me deep inside
Is like a poison that threatens to eat at me
Though I thought I had put it all to rest
It's impossible though, you won't set me free

Stop pulling me down under the water
I refuse to drown along with you in misery
Finding true love
Has finally loosened the reins you once had on me

This poison of yours is all consuming
It engulfs another like flames of a fire
For you it's now or never...do or die
Time for you to walk the wire

Take all your shattered promises
Cast them like ashes in the air
My heart is heavy full of pain from you
The last bit of love I had for you--is no longer there

Why did you do this...cause me such tremendous pain
I don't think there's anything mentally wrong with you
That's just another excuse
For you to be able to continue to do what you do

To think I once loved you
With every part of me inside
I allowed you into my life
From you I didn't hide

You shredded my soul
Like a butcher does with fresh meat
But I refused to give in
To allow myself to end in self-defeat

I pushed onward and upward
The love I now have is deep and true
She loves me with all of her
I'm afraid to say she is nothing like you

You would be wise to look up to her
She could teach you a thing or two about love
But if you don't do something quick, in hell you will remain
We'll be watching down from high above

I don't know why I still care for your well fare
I should just say to hell with it all
Guess once you were my angel
It's hard to watch you to continue to fall

But fallen Angel you are
However no longer my concern
Now living without me perhaps you finally can comprehend
As your heart lives in constant burn

shining through...
i see your true colors
and that's why i love you"

powerful words. . .

Darling girl such words of wisdom, such a strong and yet compassionate message. You did do all you could darling girl, that the giftmis refused doesn't reflect on the giver.

utterly utterly fabulous writing
