Centuries of words there resting
Time, each bound tight page is testing
Orphans now at home
Shelves around with books abundant
Each with words of they the pundit
Eyes with vigor roam

The light of day a trove divulging
Browsing, much the time involving
The reading urge is strong
Enchanted and of era thinking
Deeper into trance then sinking
Time, more time I long

Words they gather, lines then forming
Words of wisdom, words so warming
Lines of verse and rhyme
Sentences, the stories telling
Between the covers many dwelling
Silently with time

Giving joy and so much pleasure
Giving those who seek their treasure
A treasure all so grand
Words that pierce the mind with wonder
Some creating thoughts that ponder
The old books proudly stand
Enduring time and caring hand

Sorry for the spelling mistake of the title,  it should be
The old book store.

So easy to lose yourself in an  old bookstore. Or even a new bookstore, for me. Wherever there is a large amount of books, I am in heaven. Much enjoyed.

Rick~
To rummage among the treasure in an old book store is 'almost' Heaven.

Good write.
