Listening to every heart

through binoculars

bring them close up
count hairs
on hares
red to brown
gray to black
beige to white
littlest black spots
on pinkest wiggle
of nose

bring a little closer
feathered quills
preened clean
see worms
squirming
from beaks pulled
fresh from dew
laden grasses
dirt sticking

a little closer still
squirrels tailtagging
chipmunks nagging
crows bagging
fliptop treasures

now take your
binoculars down

I am right here

Saturday morning
early humidity
pushes us back
in,
I’ve an idea…

but bring your
binoculars…

it’s under cover work…

Looks like you are doing a bit more than just bird watching, Karilea. Loved the images in this.

Your title reminded me of Neil Diamond's comments to me many years ago when I had incredible seats for his concert... and powerful binoculars! *EG*

I like this one a lot, Sunshine... especially the playful ending. *G* Well done!
