The wisteria drapes over the archway
Like a fine purple necklace it hangs
In the warming Summer's breeze
So freely do the flowers swing

A perfume oh so heavenly
Brings my senses to the fore
As I stand here in my doorway
Before I venture out to explore

Many treasures can be found
In my garden every day
A paradise ever changing
With so much beauty on display

How I'll lose myself in the lupins
Or meander through the trees
I'll bend down to smell the roses
Their fragrance is always sure to please

So many types of birds come here
In this garden paradise of mine
From wattle birds to lorikeets
On my apple tree they dine

The bees find plenty of nectar
An abundance of flowers they have to dine
As I sit here enjoying my coffee
On my back how the sun does shine

Closing my eyes I'll inhale all this beauty
And tomorrow I'll be back for more
How I'll love to return to my garden
Where there is so much more to explore

Wonderful imagery, Sue!!  I bet the garden is lovely.

So very very beautiful! It was like I could see your garden there. Thanks and I enjoyed it.

it was love that first drew me,
it is love that will keep me here...
now I see love burning brightly
when everything else is unclear...
