Unburdening

Not expecting to cry,
but when the sea welcomed,
salt of tears met salty sea.

We collect bits of glass,
yesteryear’s trash,
reclaimed by sand and waves,
softening rough edges,
from shards to smooth pebbles.

You share this with me,
that you are here
makes all the difference.
I can let go
with you,
go weak
now and then.

Now I know
love.
