Unintentional Crime

This is it, I’m sure
I’ve done it this time
though not my intention
to commit such a crime

if it were your decision
to determine my fate
I’d be sitting in a jail cell
the rest of life I’d wait

by you, I’ve done my best
though you would disagree
I hope you never hold yourself
to the standards you’ve held me

Ouch, that stings.  Let it all out, JLR.  You'll be better for it.

If you can't forgive others, you cannot forgive yourself. Well written feelings here, thanks JLR.

Your responses gave me a smile this morning that I lacked last night as I wrote.  Thank you all for that.  And yes, Slick sent the card fedex...so I am once again walking among you.  LOL!
