We had something amazing once. We loved with our whole hearts. We never held anything back. We sang our own private love song. Even though neither of us could carry a tune! We held hands. We danced in the rain. We made love under the stars. But then I lost you. Left you behind. Ignorant in my choices. Living my life for others. I should have been living for Us. Still I had our memories. Until now. Now you have taken what was beautiful and made it ugly. Why did you have to walk back into my life and be so cruel? What happened to the man that you used to be? I search your eyes for a trace of who I loved. He isn't there. He's lost just like the love that we once shared. |
