last night
I reached through
the clouds,
grasped the moon
from the sky,
and held it
in my hand

I placed the moon
in my treasure box
and took out an
emerald

I placed it back
into the sky
and slept,
     knowing I was loved

interesting...
the significance of putting an emerald back is fascinating in some ways...

enjoyed this Sven, and need to ponder a while to see if I understand all it could say...

Sven you may keep the moon for as long as you need it. Thanks for replacing it with such a precious stone.

I wonder
what it would
be like
to sit
outside at night,
with a deep green
light
warming my skin....

Sven, lovely, moonlit poem. Reminding me of a childrens book called "Grandfather Twilight", in which he removes a pearl each night from a large chest, and walks with it until it becomes the moon. Digressing, but it is such a lovely book, if you know any children, they would love it.

A shining moon
and an emerald..........

well, if we were given the choice, I wonder which would we choose....?

I saw this earlier and thought I have told you how I enjoyed the quiet twinkle of this one and the thought-provoking metaphor.....but here I am saying it.....

so thank you for sharing it......
