Afternoon Respite
Virginia Salter

haze clings to high rises
filled to the brim
busyness, mercantilism
straight, bony fingers
erect
towering over Lake Union
sunlight bounces from mobile bubbles
going to, fro, fore and aft
as white triangles gee and haw
across the pond
and I
mesmerized in my peace
solitude

Very descriptive illusion of a metropolitan area.

Well done indeed.  I would never have thought of using the "mule commands" to describe the jibing of sailboats.

Interesting and enjoyable read

And, like Ron, I'd like to read Bob's thoughts on this fine work of yours.
