In a corporeal internship...

0 posted 2001-07-02 09:05 PM

Gentle winds of long ago
Beckon to me as they flow...
Where they're going, I don't know,
But I see I must follow.

The Zephyr carries me away
Into another time and day...
My thoughts and feelings go astray,
But she's my lover -- she will stay.

The two of us are now in flight...
The winds surround us in the night.
We soar together to the height...
The winds around us keeping tight.

From the summit, we see all,
When I hear the Zephyr call...
She kiss me:  then I fall...
Once so near -- back to normal.

Thank you, Vicky, for taking the time to enjoy this one.

Ron, "haunting" is actually a good word to use here -- I hadn't thought of it like that, but you're right.  Thanks.

Ah, but can you feel it, Walker?  Thanks for stopping by.

G, thank you very much for reading, enjoying, and responding.  Yes, indeed:  just a mental doodle...  Yes, "zephyr" is a melifluously poetic word...  we were required to memorize it along with my personal favorite:  "stygian", and many more, in high school, so I figured may as well integrate it into my life somehow...  ...and a big thank you to VLRAYNES for linking G here -- very thoughtful of you!
