The old dog had passed away she was thirteen years of age
She was such a crazy dog leaving hearts with empty page
We did mourn but always knew that we could not live without
It should be another breed for we would compare no doubt

After looking here and there then this huntingdog popped up
Way up North we had some luck cause they had this darling pup
Out of nine we had to choose hard to do they all were sweet
But at last we did pick one to our hearts she reached indeed

By car we took her with us for a long five hour drive
Took a nap and played a bit her teeth as sharp as a knife
Tsjip her name (the Conqueror) I saw in an old Dutch book
Fast we came to understand serious her name she took

And a conqueror she was pry to extend her borders
Looking innocent and so but disobeying orders
In the garden I did work put some plants in here and there
To found out after a while they were scattered everywhere

What I put in she pulls out no effect did have my call
She was such a joyfull pup life for her was just a ball
We put her behind a fence to protect her from the street
Took her about five minutes showing she was hard to beat

She had no heart for fences but would like to roam about
As she spoke to me I'll tell that her voice was clear and loud
I raised to her my finger pointing out that she should stay
But Tsjip smiled at me and thought well I might maybe some day

It will take some time to read if I told you all she did
Never knew dogs with humor this one has I must admit
She can open the backdoor from within and from outside
Not a problem during day but she does it too at night

Many hours roaming fields chasing wildlife so to speak
Many miles to both our cars as we drove out there to seek
And then this seven seatbelts we did loose on her account
Locking in was not for her is what pighead lady found

She just chewed them up she did on the moments unaware
Then we locked her in a cage wich she thought was real unfair
She got used to it and now she just loves her cage to sleep
The new seatbelts we've put in stay there finally to keep

When she was eleven months we got an arousing call
Her sister placed somewhere else was not doing well at all
She had not been accepted by the old dog that lived there
The lady who had bought her well she really did not care

In asylum she was put and I could not bear the thought
For their caracter was sweet so a second dog we bought
When I fetched her there I saw a small heap of misery
Bold on legs and bones stuck out saddest dog I ever see

Put she was almost her life in the garage and was bound
She was crated in the night so she would not mess around
That's where the bold legs came from cause she scratched them to get out
I just cried when I heard this and forgive me cursed outlout

So we did take care of her but it took her lots of days
To get used to loving care softly with her tail she sways
She is such a lovely dog she deserves a better life
Not in darkness of a crate not that daily need to strife

She got sick at three years age almost died before my eyes
In the hospital she went in a cage ten times her size
Addison her sickness called has to take a lot of pills
Need to take them all her life otherwise the sickness kills

I don't mind of what it costs it is our duty to care
It's only a dog I know but she has so much to share
And seeing them together playing and having a ball
It feels good that we replied to that so arousing call
