Slick
Wet tongued syllables
That slide in sensuous
Delight over words
That from mind to throat
Have been lain out
For ear and mouth
To ecstatically
Experience

Soft
Feather fall
Feelings tickle those
Private places we hide
From public view,
Only uncovering them
In intimate shared
Times

How can the
Words not move
You to yield, when…
In your isolated bed
Of emotions,
You yearn for another’s
Touch to ease
The longing
Deep inside?

Speak to me
So I can
Come to
Understand

Thank You Kit... words are such wonderful things when they touch you... and take you inside your own memories or experiences adding another layer of understanding..

Much appreciate your comment!

Now, this is a keeper, I really love this!
You have some excellent, clever phrasing in this that all poets will relate to and say wow!

Take care,
Melissa~

Thank You!! As for clever? (smiling) I doubt I am accused of that often..
I like to think about the words others have used to describe and explain things..and this is just a bit of a way to say thank you...

Thanks!!!

Ah, yes.....you do have a way with words! And they can only seduce in the hands of a masterful poet....which you definitely are!!

As long as the motive remains pure...  emotions can easily be manipulated and not always for the benefit of the reader...  I appreciated the flow of this piece -- by its very structure and phrasing, the whole became as one of its parts in terms of the descriptive nature and thought-arousing premise.  Well done, Ron.

Those wet tongued syllables clouded my eyes somewhat ... but I still felt the words.  Used four of my five senses on this one
