The Shores of Alone

Part One: Depressed

Late and getting later
I fear life passes by
late and getting later
Inside my heart I cry.

Long and so much longer
since true love lived with me
long and getting longer
a shadow all I see.

Cold and growing colder
without the warmth I crave
cold and growing colder
despite the love I gave.

Dark and getting darker
the moon hides from me now
dark and geting darker
it's time to take my bow.

Part Two:  Hopeful

Close and coming closer
the hopes and dreams I hold
close and growing closer
fulfillment of my soul.

short and so much sweeter
till touching with my heart
short and so much sweeter
no longer held apart.

Warm and growing warmer
with thoughts of life anew
warm and growing warmer
a love to fall into.

Bright and glowing brighter
the clouds are pushed aside
bright and glowing brighter
a turning of the tide.

Wonderfully rhythmic Sandra ... you've expressed these emotions so beautifully. I love the "turning of the tide", it speaks of inspiration and anticipation for what is yet to come. Very nicely written!

Best wishes,
/Kit

Sandra,
How deeply touching and contemplative. I liked the use of the chapters.  Always remember, when one ends, another does begin...

Emotions captured in a clear jar of honesty and placed on the well-lit window sill of the mind, to reflect in the heart that which saves us all -- hope.  A most beautiful carving of feelings.  I'm happy to see some warm rays of sunlight starting to shine through your window.

Sandra,

We've all felt this way at sometime or another in our lives and you've penned these feelings well.  Thank you.
