My Mother, My friend

Here I sit in solitude
Loneliness in my heart
And grieve and wonder all over again
Just why we had to part

My thoughts are with you everyday
Not a moment passes by
Without a memory of all we said and did
And I often still want to cry

The tears don’t fall as often now
Although my heart still weeps
And sometimes I even dream of you
On those rare occasions, that I sleep

I often feel quite alone now
Without you there to call
Or just to come and visit
Maybe go shopping at the mall

You may have been my Mother
But your were also my greatest friend
And way down deep inside me
I know, I’ll not find your like again

Lisa...this touched my heart. Your love for your mom is very apparent...I guess we never really say goodbye. Weepy Hugs to you!

Oh Lisa, this has touched in such a deep place I cannot describe, I'm just at a loss for words right now, perhaps I'll read this again and finds the words~
