In a corporeal internship...

There's a change coming over me
With the passing of each day
I can feel the fog around my life
Disappear as it gives way

To the sunshine of your smile
And the innocence in your eyes
You cajole my sole with your satin voice
In your heart, my future lies...

I thank God for having met you
You're a work of priceless art
And I thank you for the way in which
You're blossoming my heart...

Yes, you're making me change for the better --
You're all the incentive I need
To stop and reconsider
All the things I once believed...
You're a fresh, new color in my black & white life
You're a feeling never felt...
Like an Angel sent to inspire me
My facade of ice you melt...

Though I've only known you for a little while,
Seems you've been a life-long friend
And I've got a feeling that's the way we'll stay
Up until the very end...

I've been so devoted to my work --
Lost within my world of sound
Never thought I would -- never dreamed I could
Let my life be turned around...

Yes, you're making me change for the better --
You're all the incentive I need
To stop and reconsider
All the things I once believed...
You're a fresh, new color in my black & white life
You're a feeling never felt...
Like an Angel sent to inspire me
My facade of ice you melt...

Now each time that I see a heart,
With a smile, I think of you
And I long to hear your voice in my ear
With your spirit so pure and true...

I thank God for having met you
You're a work of priceless art
And I thank you for the way in which
You're blossoming my heart...

Yes, you're making me change for the better --
You're all the incentive I need
To stop and reconsider
All the things I once believed...
You're a fresh, new color in my black & white life
You're a feeling never felt...
Like an Angel sent to inspire me
My facade of ice you melt...

Mark,
She's one lucky "angel". I'm glad to see the colors are victorious over the black and white. Beautiful read...

Elise, I believe she would have been...  Thanks for reading.

Titia:  this was a love song -- a 3/4 piano waltz, actually...  unfortunately, I don't think there is such a thing as "forever"...  there's just the now, so I 've learned to enjoy the moment.  Thank you for your time.

Lisa, I am truly touched by your words...  Again, for my work to have such an effect, especially on a "stranger" -- I am deeply moved.  Thank you so much for your sentiments.

Thank you, Sandra...  I've come to the conclusion that "I don't know anything...  but I have a strong opinion about everything."  I think this is the most logical deduction to which I could arrive, so far, in my life.

Thank you for reading this, Lone Wolf...  alas, lucky in another lifetime, perhaps...

Logan, I thank you for considering this poem.  The sound of which you speak is but an echo in the corridors of the heart, still being heard, faintly, by others today if they pause to listen...

This is lovely.

Wonderful when someone can touch our lives in a way that renders us better for having them in it.

So true, Marge.  This is why it's so important to truly savour the moment and look at the positive in all things, even when they don't go as planned...  Thank you for your thoughts.
