A midnight hour spawned the sight Of ghostly specters, all in white. They shimmered in the corners, where, Their moans and sighings filled the air. I bade them all be gone from me, But they ignored me I could see. I wondered why they had appeared And as the morning hour neared, I watched them fade away until, My room was empty and quite still. Is this an omen I should fear And will they ever reappear? I have a feeling that they might Upon some other sleepless night. They are the dreams that didn't grow. They are the secrets that I know. Now this was very insightful, and if you can believe it, tomorrow I am actually going to finish some things thanks to your poem! Well I think Mr Poe would like this one.. very cool poem Trillium..loved the cadence and melodics... as well as the stark imagery and ominous theme. very well done poetess jm We're all feeding our lonely like it might go away, |
