~* Let's Dream Of A Cellophane Sea *~

She went walking through a magical forest,
And came across a secret place hidden from view.
It was twilight, and she was amazed at the sight,
And I know if you saw it, you would be too!

Riding right across her path was a unicorn,
Taking two cute little fairies for a ride,
I think she scared them, and they scared her,
As they almost jumped right out of their hide!

Then a cute little fairy flew on her shoulder,
And another one started tickling her ear.
While another flew into her golden hair,
And found a perfect perch up there.

The unicorn rubbed its nose against her,
Just kind of smelling her for a while.
Well I guess he liked the smell of her,
Because she could have sworn she saw him smile.

He turned and started to walk away,
Then turned back to her as if to say,
“Join us in our play, jump on my back”
Then the four of them simply flew away.

As they flew she felt herself changing,
My goodness, she had grown a great big tail!
How exciting all of this was for her,
As now on a cellophane sea she could sail!

They came to a magic, peaceful valley,
With waterfalls, mountains, and dancing bear!
There were so many unicorns and fairies,
Dancing, and running about here and there.

But there was one Unicorn,
He was the best without a doubt.
He was the most beautiful of all,
And in the gathering, he really stood out.

His fine coat had a wonderful shine,
He was so majestic and tall.
His eyes twinkled like a million stars,
And he wasn’t afraid of her at all.

He said, ”come join us for the night
Don't be afraid, we’ll always protect you,
Even when you don't see us around,
In dreams, you’re always in our view."

"You'll have fairies listening to your dreams,
And unicorns to your thoughts tonight,
Stay with us for a little while longer,
Dreaming dreams of fairies in flight."

She stayed with the fairies and unicorns that night,
And oh, the games they did play,
But with the coming of the morning sun,
She knew it was time to be on her way.

Tonight, she will meet them all again,
Just like last night, as they had planned,
And fly away again on her unicorn’s back,
Once more with two fairies to dreamland!

Melissa!  I felt that!  You squished me into your hard drive?  Ouch!  Reminds me of something else I have done once a year!  Oh, thank you for being so flattering, and any day is special with my granddaughter, any day!

Marge: This greenie Gramma is loving this weekend, lots of time with her, and get this, she loves Gramma's "fantastories", that is what she calls them!  Thanks again for reading my "stuff"!

Hey Sharon!
Told you I would seek you out here one day:-)

It's great to read your work again. This one is a charmer, I'll bet Tori just loved it. I would read it to my angels (did I say "angels", must be the heat) but, wonders never cease, they are asleep :-)

Nice to see you again, I'm going have a look around the rest of the site now.

Smiles to you and yours,
Cathy
