on the horizon of a fairytale

Crawling amidst
hunger for passion
he tries
in vain
to grasp
what lies
just beyond
his reach

momentary pleasures
in abundance
for the taking,
now cold
and lonely
distance
and quick…

faceless lovers
all share
the same
icy hand
mimic
the same
cheap come-on
reeking
of the same
stale perfume

groveling for
a warm heart,
he wallows
in an empty vacuum
of musty sheets
and meaningless sex

May your dreams always dance to the rhythm of a lover's heartbeat...

Ouch...what a harsh reality.  You need the kind of loving that fills your heart with warmth!  *warm hug*  you'll find it.

And all you can do is to go where they can find you."

and finds comfort. . . if only for the moment. . .

I know this feeling. . . you've shared it well with this one. . .
