i'd hoped to post a poem today
an oldie from days gone by
but my 'puter kept rebelling
i really can't tell you why

i tried and tried to no avail
it just wouldn't do as i asked
so, finally i got so frustrated
i had to give up on the task

the name of the poem was 'go fly a kite'
complete with fancy formatting
wanted to repost it for my friend, Mark
in hopes that he'll soon be returning

he's been away far too long, you see
our cowboy's been roaming the range
i'm hoping he'll visit us someday real soon
his absence from Passions feels strange

so, Mark, if you're listening, just want you to know
you've been missed...your return's overdue
stop in when you can...rest that horse for a spell
'cause it's just not the same here without you

~vlraynes

Missing you a whole bunch, Cowboy Mark!!
Ride back in here as soon as you can!
Love and hugs, my sweet friend...

heart, you have not truely met the poet."

Vicky~
I saw your little kite
fluttering in the breeze
Needed a Cowboy's hand
to give it balance, you see

He would have liked the colors
you added on the flight
How's about this so folks can see
you once flew it right !

You is the bestest, gal !
Flying friend to friend with you is cool breeze indeed !

I agree with the sentiments here. It doesn't seem like home without the resident Cowboy. Nice that you wrote this.

I don't even know him and I want him back too, as his poetry is awesome and this was a really nice piece of bribary to get him here Vicky, let's hope it works for a poem via Janet or someone    Nicely done.

That cowboy is indeed sorely missed... you'd think he'd eventually get time off for good behavior, wouldn't you? *S* That's assuming he's behaving, of course! LOL

This is great, vicky... I followed Marge's link and enjoyed the flight of your kite as well as this tribute to a friend... both are excellent!
