              on his pond
              where his thoughts
              are awash in
              gleaming water’s
              ripples
                                bugs dance
              in circles
              on mirrored planes,
              it is there,
              I think of him,
              alone,
              knowing
              he is deeper
              than the water,
              still

in this quiet
when even
treetops
whisper
no intrusions
allowed
his soul seeking

anam cara
murmurs
eyes close
feel
anam cara
elation in
silence of
anam cara

then, slow
he breathes
me
in
out
               anam cara

and we are one

again

Wow, this is amazing!

I don't know what anam cara means but the mysteriousness of it makes the poem all the more magical.
