Just the two of us             a journey begun
Miles of traveling to go         companion of my heart
On to the unknown             horizons unfold
~*~
Destiny leads us                 life, everlasting
following converging paths     merging present with the past
mutual journey                taking our first steps
~*~
paths converge at last              a bump in the night
will that be the only merge      thumps the surge of urge in we
would delight follow             warmth comes sauntering

Fool, said my Muse to me, look in thy heart and write. Philip Sidney (1554-1586) Loving in Truth

Good trip!   Clever perspective and evocative when it comes to a muse....enjoyed it!

Ron ~ My Muse only adds luster to my dismal offerings.  Any blessing would come from, or belong to, my Muse.

Yanno, I may be reading this wrong, but you seem to be the cat that swallowed the canary (oh brother, is that an old one!)   Say, you and your muse sound a little friendly to me!  I loved the style of this and the poem but now...are we to be guessing where you and this little dish are headed to, where you've been, or what you're up to? I re-read it and it still reads to me as a teensie bit x-rated!   LOL, oopsie.  Just kidding!

Ron ~ I deeply appreciate your thoughts and "gentle disagreement."

Poet deVine ~ Thank you ... don't you just LOVE intrigue?
No, but good try

Lone Wolf ~ Thanx   You are too kind.

Tiers ~ You mean you don't want the grand prize of a two-day, all expense paid weekend in beautiful downtown Del Rio, Texas, in August?  Hmmmmmmmm

PM ~ Hmmmm.  Side-by-side.  Yes, I like that term

Mysteria ~ Shhhhhhhhhhh! Quiet!  You get in trouble with the Poetry Police for comments like that

RSWells ~ Just what we need in Texas in July ... cool
