Deep in the heart

0 posted 2001-06-28 02:59 PM

Listen to my feelings
As they flow
Like a cascading
Waterfall
Over that rock
Of stonehearted
Insensitivity.
Rising mist
Of my essence
Clouds the destination
Amid the roar
Of silent
Indifference.
Yet they continue to flow,
Wearing away at
That stone.
They fall and pound
Into the pond
Of you
And float downstream,
Like flotsam,
Creating a logjam
That requires
Your attention.

Fool, said my Muse to me, look in thy heart and write. Philip Sidney (1554-1586) Loving in Truth

Okay--for just a minute I pretended that I wrote this one! It SO suits my life right now...Thanks for sharing it interloper--it's kind of like hearing someone speak in your own language after you've been in a foreign country for awhile.   My gratitude!
