To You Who Misses Your Muse

Thy muse, dear one,
plays
peek–a–boo
with one pen
maybe two

take heart,
she is
off to find the
sun

hiding yet behind
clouds of storm

to bring thee rainbows
of delight

come soon upon
the morn

thy muse, dear one
shall not be
long from you

why dream, dear one
and she shall
come in view

as no question sought
is fraught with less
than sweet rapture
and wisdom's bless

should your request
be to a muse, dear one,
who would share
all

and go a bit
beyond the pall

do know, dear one
that even a muse can be
bent and torn
needing time to
mend poetic form

so sit quiet, and
be not afraid of blankest
sheet
of white,
hold pen softly
and then in her twilight

close your eyes
and look within
your muse is closer
than your skin
your muse is that
sound within
your ear
now hear her song
and write,

my dear.

Enjoyed the write... and the thoughts.

Lady - This was just the message I needed to read.  You hit it on the head, dear one.  Erato has been away too long.

You already know what my muse looks like   but did you also know her voice is that of ripples on a pond?  I loved this.  It's a very pretty poem.

you've met my muse then...
torn tattered shattered...
just plain tired...cant say as I blame her.
I put her thru moth hell.

poetic truths in this Lady...beautifully put.
me moody muse thanks you for this as do I

Like the doors of heaven will swing wide open if we just find the right words to say.

Amusing how she sits and waits - and pounces when you least expect it... Carry pen & paper at all times...

I often miss my Muse or she misses me,
must have been waiting on the wrong corner

But reading this will give me hope

Do you know my Muse perhaps
She looks a bit like me
Tell her I feel so lonely
Can't live without her you see

Definitely well put, LIW!  Rather inspiring write!

it is love that will keep me here...
now I see love burning brightly
