Deep in the heart

You and I and miles of traveling.
Each, taking the path of our choosing,
observe the saga unraveling.
Both with considerable musing.

The destination, as yet unknown,
common in general direction.
Suggestions to each other have flown
back and forth with a great affection.

Hearts flying hither and yon on high
suggest that smiles 'tween miles disappear.
Comporting both equally, our sigh,
in our travels, when we shall draw near.

So take up your backpack and venture forth.
I shall head southerly, you head north.

Fool, said my Muse to me, look in thy heart and write. Philip Sidney (1554-1586) Loving in Truth

but, but, but whatever shall you do if you and your muse part company...what shall we do?  I hope that only means that you'll broaden your musings.
