I've Lost My Mind

I wonder if you'd help me please,
I lost my mind today …
I've searched and searched to no avail,
It's simply gone astray.

I'm sure I had it when I woke,
But then it disappeared …
I've looked in all the nooks and crannies,
Truly persevered.

However I am at a loss,
So could you help me out?
I cannot find that silly thing,
It's left without a doubt!

I'll place an ad tomorrow
In the local classifieds,
I'll even add a small reward,
If anyone complies.

Oh yes, I tried to trace my steps,
I backed up all the way,
But I can't place my finger on
Just when it ran away.

It answers to my name, and yes,
I've yelled for it in fact,
I shouted till my voice was hoarse,
But it's not coming back.

So if you find it, let me know,
I'm feeling so unwise …
I've lost my mind, oh mercy me,
I feel lobotomized!

/Kit McCallum

You didn't lose it, it's taking a few days off to rest and recuperate! I think I saw it drinking Pina Coladas at ClubMed!

This was so cute, but brother I do believe mine is there with yours and Logan's.  I hope they are having fun, because I can't find my glasses!  Thanks for a chuckle Kit.

$1,000,000,000.00....a bargain, if we can find Kit's mind again!

That's the reward...

BUT...a caveat....

it MUST come poetically!

i thought i saw your mind today
out playing in the park
but surely it knows better than
to stay out after dark

perhaps it's tied up to a string
it's hope to be a kite
to float up high above the clouds
remaining out of sight

i really can't help wondering
although i have no clue
perhaps it's not your mind that's lost...
could it, instead, be YOU?

Sorry Kit...just couldn't resist! LOL
Hope you find that wandering mind of yours soon.
They can be awfully difficult to find
when they want to stay lost!

hugs,
Vicky

Not a wonder that you get so many replies to your work, its lines flow as smooth as a river.

your mind, my dear, just cannot be lost
you must find it no matter the cost
we will look and will help you to find
for your writing we must have your mind.

I know its bad, but my heart, and mind, are in the right place

Kit~

I would have replied sooner
but I've really been out lookin'
Now you probably won't like it ...
but I found that rascal hookin'
Yeah, I know ... embarassing
but you'll be glad to know
Though she's sullied her reputation ...
She's bring home the DOUGH ! !

Found her on a street corner
on South Orange Blossom Trail
Working her little tukus off ...
to try to make her bail !
She boarded the 6:08
headed out of town ...
Waved to all the Johnny's ...
with a, "Muuuuwahhhhhh ! See you guys around."

She should be arriving home
at close to a quarter to four ...
I know you'll be happy to see her
as she waltzes through the door !

No wonder she wants to come home ...
You're a darned good poet ! !

Love ya'

Melton: Well ... when you find your marbles Melton, please send my mind straight home OK? It's past it's bedtime, LOL

Rick: Thank you for this sweet comment Rick. I'm glad you enjoyed the flow, that means a lot to me!

Interloper:  Thank you so much for the poetic response Interloper ... and I appreciate very much where your heart and mind are, big smiles here!

Seymour: Aha!  Now I should have looked there first Sy. It's an early night for me, so perhaps I'll track it down shortly then ... hugs to you for the hint!

Victoria:  We sure do Victoria, sometimes I think I have a lopsided share in the market though, LOL. I'm glad you enjoyed!

Suthern:  ROFL ... maybe this is contagious or something!  I'm glad you enjoyed Suthern, thanks for the grins!

Marge:  You supersleuth you!  ROFL ... this was great Marge!  Shame on her! If she's been out galavanting around on the streetcorners and alleyways, I'd best stock up on some good soap suds to clean up that dirty mind when she drags herself in at 4am, LOL. Love ya too!

Much appreciation to all,
