Hello Passions, I just wanna thank all those who been patiently waiting for me to post....enjoy!!

Hard days, my skies are gray,
problems always seem to rise,
and never seems to go away.
Sometimes, I wanna cry,
as my mind just break down,
as my shoulders slump to the ground
because, sunny days, never seem to come around.
And as I look out my project window,
of these dark and depressing projects,
I'm beginning to feel tired and uninspired
as, anger flows through me like, an electrical wire
because, here I am struggling to pay my bills
while these guys just sit back and chill,
selling drugs, and making easy dollar bills,
as most of them make twice the amount,
I can muster from every two weeks' count
but I guess, you can't blame them for what they do
cause, life's an everyday struggle, hells' prelude,
as blacks like me, constantly lay in a bed of struggles,
stay in trouble, digging our own graves, with the white mans' shovel,
as we're troubled and stressed minorities,
fighting with low incomes, options, and priorities,
fighting with aids, and other man-made diseases,
and things seem so hopeless and out of focus
that we're atheists, we no longer believe in God or Jesus
yet, deep down, our souls are searching for brighter days,
to reach out one day and shine it's sunrays
cause, if you asked me what life's like day-to-day,
an everyday struggle, is all I can say.

Nate, how do I reply?  If I could walk in your skin for a day, I may have a better answer, but it can't be done.  If I lived on your street for one day, maybe I could understand.  You are trying so very hard to seek the right answers for you.  And, by your poems, some days I feel you get the answer you can live with.  I can hope and wish all the best for you, but not sure that is the help you are looking for.  I do wish you the very best.  You have become a friend and look forward to your words.  Hugs from an old lady,  ME

I'm sorry life is so hard for you right now. It makes it so hard to see anything good or hopeful in the future. When I went through a period like this, I decided to try and find one good, beautiful or happy thing, every day. For me it worked and I gradually was able to attain a more positive outlook. I hope you can too.

excellently done..in a form and way that others can enjoy...for the rhyme and meter...while learning perhaps a bit more..
about day to day struggles...

Nate this is quite the write!  I wish you the best in your struggle. I hope it's a struggle for a better future despite all the challenges that try to block the way. But nothing ever got accomplished in this life without a positive attitude and that can take anyone a long way......After all without it, what have we got?

This is very well written and I appreciate the perspective!
Thanks for sharing this!

if I responded as myself, in the place I am these last 3 years, it would not be good, it would be grating...therefore,

I will just say that you have written your thoughts well in the words that you've used and your thoughts are easily understood

Nate, I've always liked your work because you speak the truth. . . your honesty and your passion always show in everything that you do. . .

This is a prime example of why. . . it's a great work that shows people the things that you have to deal with every day, it's a real and honest description of all of those pressures and struggles. . .

You've really got it down my friend. . . I know that you're strong and that you'll get there. . . so, don't give up and keep at it. . .

Peace!!!

Nate--Yes, powerful as Sea said...you write  truth, for me this is a very good thing, because truth brings wisdom and wisdom can bring change.
