Yesterday Mind

Walking alone where shadows keep
sculpted am I, by words once said.
Thoughts fade fast in the dim of night
trying to sleep where my dreams once led.

On day of days, beyond dark of blue
when words of yours have reached an end
from sunset to sunrise, resigning myself
imprisoned before and now once again.

My mirrored self has disappeared,
never to touch or to see or to feel.
Only deepened silence of  regret
in moments of loneliness, of what is real.

There are no Romeos, no Juliets
just shattered glass, a vision in blind.
Walking the path of memories
a windowless soul of yesterday mind.

~Wynter

"The worst prison would be a closed heart".

Very sad! But you know how I feel about your writing...and this is no exception...it's very well done!

Tender and sorrowful Wynter ... beautiful phrasing throughout, just lovely.

Best wishes,

Beyond sleep, where dreams keep,
Memories and desires still living,
When so deep, real can’t seep,
Time suspends till the waking.

Blue days reign within sunlight,
Where mirrors reflect too much,
It’s easy to long for the deep night,
Where beauty replays without touch.

Your poem is excellent,
if a little sad.
