The Chill Runs Deep
~*Marge Tindal*~

'Neath the surface of deepest chill
Harboring heartache grows
Icy tentacles anchored
Surfacing fragments explode
There is no warmth in anger
Seething deep within
The chill ~ The chill
Self-kill ~ Self-kill
Over and over again

Marge, wonderful as always, gentle smile, but the warmth of the heart will melt even the coldest chill, or even the fire..

Thank you all so much.
I thought this picture was just awesome.

The thoughts came in thinking of how some let themselves get so cold inside that the anger chills them even more because they don't know how to release it.
So it grows and it grows ...

The release comes in knowing that in warm waters, even an iceberg can't maintain the deep-seated tentacles to keep it afloat.
The answer is in finding warmer waters in which to immerse yourself.

There is warmth in the fire, as Logan said,
and warmth in friendship.
If you have a chill deep inside ...
take it to the fire-circle of frienship.

Warmth of true friendship melts the most frozen of hearts.
Of course we have lots of little puddles when that happens !

Goodness ... didn't mean to get so philosophical ...
but .... reaching out is part of what I do.

Guess it wasn't 'just a poem' after all.

Thanks to each of you for enjoying it.

Nothing you ever write is "just a poem", Marge...so much hidden beneath the surface here....

You ROCK lady!  Balladeer said it before on another post, nothing you write does not have a double meaning, but your soul must be still enough to feel it, then it warms, and you share it.  As me how much do I love this one, and the graphic hit its mark dead on with the metaphors used.  Like I said, you ROCK! Do those hot little twigs ever burn your hands

Balladeer~
You know I thank you.
Much love, my friend.

Mysteria~
There's that 'metaphor' thing again.
Is that akin to the heart talking ?
The 'twigs' give warmth to others and keep the fire tended.
Love ya'

Martie~
That is what I strive for, sweetie.
Always willing to help with the thaw.
Love ... much love~

Just as with an iceberg showing only 1/10th of its mass, so are your offerings.  We may never know the depth and breadth of you ... but we will sure enjoy what you give us, eagerly.
