Again I feel the loneliness,
Crowding in upon my mind.
I feel the tendrils of darkness,
Around my body do they wind.

I need to smell you, taste you,
Hold you, feel your body by my side,
Hear you whisper sweet nothings,
Hoping something turns this tide.

We are sailing into separate ports,
Drifting away in love’s sea.
What has changed in me so very much?
You no longer show your love to me.

I want to be your only one,
In your soul, and in your heart.
But this will never happen,
When, each night we drift apart.

Sometimes loving you can be so hard,
So many battles we have fought,
Stubborn pride stands in our way,
When it’s only love we sought.

Tell me dear one, how long to wait,
Before tomorrow truly brings,
A love, so warm and tender,
Proclaiming the vow of these rings?

As I cry myself to sleep again tonight,
I wait for the day that you will see...
Like a rose, my love is fading,
And I ask, “Why did you marry me?”
