Inspired by some discussions on Feelings and the Alley

Now there is some time for me
to sit here and write a poem
for I did all my 'duties' tonight
through Passions I did roam

Every night I seek out a few
from pages that have passed
to read the poems I did not yet
and give my replies at last

I can't reply to all of the poems
just pick one here and there
look for different names or words
do my best to answer with care

So don't think I will forget you
I'll read your poem some day
I don't know yet how to manage
but I'm sure I will find a way

Maybe it's an idea or maybe not
roam through the ten pages before
pick one each page you did not read
you'll find some oldies you may adore

A rose is a rose is a rose...I guess...

Thanks Seymour and Sven, actually I didn't think I was the only one, just felt like writing it down.

Nice thoughts on this.   You do a great job. I consider the reading and replying to be more of a relaxation and an inspirational honor rather than duties.

Your so right Temptress, I do too. I think that's the nicest part of being here.
The word 'duties' was used in a humorous way.
because of the discussions on Feelings and the Alley.

Thanks for stopping by.

Titia, you got it!  I start at the back and work forwards, and try to read 10 people I don't know every night, gives a great variety, and there are some awesome poets in Passions, thanks girl!  Well done, well said!

And that is exactly how I found this, Titia.    I like to look for poems that have fallen and not received enough attention.  This is one of those that I feel deserves a second ride.  Thanks!

Titia
I think you already know what I think of this poem and I thank you so much for posting it!  I often do just exactly what you are suggesting and often find a poem by an old poet friend that slipped by me.
I know it's next to impossible to reply to everybody but the effort shows when a person replies when they can.
I think Balladeer made a good point...it's not hard to get a count of a persons responses as compared to their posts. If they are relatively the same then this person is in the wrong place!
Great work Titia!
