Hope Why do you expect me to lay down and die? I won’t sit here all alone I won’t start to cry I’ll pick up my heart and take off once again I’ll seek out the sun not hide in shadows rain Love is liberating or so I’ve heard them all say So I’ll be liberated and face this brand new day Hope there is even though I can’t see its light In my eyes I’ll see it there still shining bright Why do you think I was going to break apart? I won’t be beaten I’ll take back my little heart I’ll lift myself up off the ground and I’ll go on There’s joy out there somewhere it’s not gone Love is freedom it lifts you then sets you free So I’ll be free to seek and find my own destiny Out on that road there’s much for me to seek Hope is there from out of the clouds it’ll peek Why do you think I’ll forever be sad and blue? I won’t stay around here and I’ll not bother you I’ll pick myself up, and shake those tears away I’ll find a brand new place for my heart to stay Love is delightful it carries you up into the sky So I’ll find delight and stretch my wings to fly Somewhere up ahead I’ll be flying again free Hope beckons me on calls come home to me Why do you think I’ll always be seeking you? I won’t beg or plead and to myself I’ll be true I’ll lift up my heart and then I’ll heal my soul I’ll take this lesson and I will be again whole Love is magical it frees your spirit and it lifts So I’ll find magic and keep it as my hearts gifts Upwards and onwards I’m going on to find me Hope is waiting out there to bring me victory Marsha Take back the hope you gave,- I claim |
