In a corporeal internship...

0 posted 2001-06-25 10:59 AM

It's easy to get caught-up in the routine of the day
And lose sight of the reason why we're all here, anyway...
Our mundane problems burden us like anchors on our feet
And we dare not take a chance for fear of challenges we'll meet...

How far do we get?
How much do we regret?
Why is it so hard to make a change?
We think that all is set
Since we tend to forget
That it's in our power to rearrange...

But life isn't really a catch-22
It's just a vision we choose to see
It may not seem apparent, but I hold it to be true:
We control our own reality...

Irony incarnates as these rhyming words are sung
Though obvious in Truth, we hear them in a foreign toungue...
In paradox to these beliefs, I know I must confess:
It's harder to maintain perspective than to just profess...

But consider the premise that each part makes up the whole;
That everyone of us plays a significant role
And all of life is structured as a graph -- a matrix grid
Where what you do is based on what your predecessors did...

And parallels
Align themselves
To points of a common trait
Yet there are times
When perfect lines
Will turn and deviate
And when they do
It's up to you
To judge what must be done
No matter what
Just trust your gut;
You'll find that you have won...

I'm flattered, Sandra.  Again, just my subjective thoughts...  but if they ring true for you as well, I'm glad I could share them...

Connie, it's a very delicate balance to maintian a passionate, hedonistic, and idealistic heart, with a detail-oriented, ever-questioning and contemplating mind...

Maybe it's time to post some poetry where the heart has the spotlight...???
